Another fun VR project, this time an experience that simulated lunar gravity, combined with the Samsung Gear headset to give the feeling of bouncing around on the moon. On this project I did some modelling of rocks which were scattered around the lunar environment, as a well as a bit of Photoshop to create the lock/unlock graphic we see on the display before exiting the lander. As it was all rendered in real time on a Samsung Galaxy S9+, it was interesting to learn about creating LODs and optimising the asset for VR on a mobile device.
